Our Story
Why we created VinoTalk
Every bottle carries a story. Almost none of it reaches the glass. The terroir, the age of the vines, the pairing a family has refined over generations: all of it stops at the label, in a shop, in a restaurant, in a country where no one can answer.
VinoTalk was founded by two people who met that silence from opposite sides of the same table. Ellen DEBOST came to wine through Chile and wine tourism, and builds the experience. Robin ALLOIN spent twenty-five years as a sommelier, from two-Michelin-star dining rooms to château cellars, and holds the wine. One of us kept asking. The other always had the answer, and could only ever give it to the person in front of him.
So we gave the bottle a voice. Scan it, and the wine speaks: in your own language, from its estate’s verified knowledge, anywhere in the world. Wine is culture. It is art. It is communion. It was never just alcohol, and it should never have to travel in silence.
